Your New Role:  

The Director, Client Engineering & Solution Architecture reports to the VP, Client Engineering & Solution Architecture and leads a global team of solution architects and client engineers. This role owns the translation of business requirements into scalable architectures, ensures seamless integration across converged planning and execution systems, and provides technical leadership for client-facing solutions. 

Acting as the bridge between clients, sales, and engineering, the Director ensures WBD’s advertising technology stack not only meets current client demands but also anticipates industry shifts — enabling data-driven, automated, and future-proof monetization.

Your Role Accountabilities: 

Solution Architecture Leadership  

  • Define the architecture blueprint for converged advertising systems that unify linear, digital, and emerging platforms. 

  • Ensure interoperability across planning, identity, yield optimization, and reporting platforms. 

 

Client Engineering & Integration  

  • Lead global teams delivering client-facing engineering solutions that directly support sales, campaign management, and monetization workflows. 

  • Oversee integrations with third-party ad-tech partners, cloud platforms, and data providers to enable seamless client solutions. 

 

Platform Modernization & Delivery 

  • Drive modernization of legacy ad-tech into modular, API-driven, and cloud-native systems. 

  • Implement frameworks for observability, compliance, and cost optimization to ensure platforms scale with business growth. 

 

Stakeholder Partnership & Strategy Alignment  

  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Operations leaders to align solutions with revenue goals and market strategy. 

  • Act as the technical voice in executive discussions, articulating how platform architecture accelerates monetization and automation. 

  • Represent WBD in client, partner, and industry forums to shape converged advertising standards. 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline required; advanced certifications in cloud/architecture preferred. 

  • Leadership: 15+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering, with at least 5 years in solution architecture or client engineering leadership roles. 

  • AdTech Expertise: Deep understanding of advertising technology, including campaign management, cross-platform planning, order management, forecasting, yield optimization, and identity systems. 

  • Architecture & Cloud: Proven experience designing and integrating cloud-native, microservices-based, and API-first platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). 

  • Client-Facing Leadership: Demonstrated success translating business needs into scalable architectures that directly enable revenue generation. 

  • Modernization Experience: Track record of rationalizing legacy systems into modular, automated, and cost-efficient architectures. 

  • Collaboration & Influence: Ability to influence across Sales, Product, Finance, and Engineering, with strong communication skills at the executive and client level. 

  • Innovation & Ecosystem: Experience leading vendor evaluations, third-party integrations, and participation in industry standards bodies.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $192,570.00 - $357,630.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
