Job Summary

Responsible for working closely with the VP of Corporate and Strategic Partnerships and Chief Marketing Officer to implement key strategic initiatives to develop and maintain strong business relationships and direct the Select Employer Groups and Financial Education teams to drive growth within the organization.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the Select Employer Group (SEG) and Financial Education teams to execute departmental vision and goals.
  • Recruit, develop, and coach high-performing teams with clear objectives, accountability, and growth plans.
  • Establish performance standards, create ROI dashboards, and manage annual staffing, budgets, and business plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and service excellence aligned with the Credit Union’s professional image.
  • Develop and implement competitive strategies and scalable solutions to drive growth and member engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Select Employer Groups:

  • Drive business development by soliciting new business from existing and potential SEGs, including collaborating with internal business teams to expand relationships to include multiple products and services such as loan and credit products (SBA, Commercial Real Estate), payroll processing, merchant services, treasury management services, 401k, etc. 
  • Manage the sales pipeline and create strategies to onboard large SEGs and associations.
  • Ensure compliance with NCUA Field of Membership (FOM) requirements and educate internal teams on adherence.
  • Build and deepen strategic partnerships with SEGs, collaborating across departments and branches to enhance offerings and coordinate workplace events.
  • Oversee financial education programs tailored to SEGs, members, and community partners.
  • Identify and resolve SEG needs, provide solutions, and document business development activities with regular reporting.

Financial Education:

  • Collaborates with the Financial Education Manager to design curriculum and delivery strategies and content that help community and credit union members define and achieve their financial dreams.
  • Builds strategic relationships with external organizations, schools, and nonprofits to expand the reach of financial education programs.
  • Provides thought leadership and insights on financial wellness trends to inform strategic planning and product development.
  • Ensures financial education content is compliant with regulatory standards and reflects current financial trends.
  • Identifies opportunities to scale financial education

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires minimum of 8 years sales or related experience
  • 5 years of business services and/or financial services experience preferred
  • 5 years leadership experience managing medium to large teams
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
