About this Position

The role of the Transformation Office is to effectively manage change execution across the firm whilst incrementally increasing consistency and introducing new ways of working to enable more holistic change. Transformation Office delivery teams (consisting of business architects, program managers, project managers, organizational change practitioners, and process engineers) are tasked with supporting sponsors to execute the firm’s change strategy, as well as BU specific change agendas and programs. Additionally, to augment and enhance day-to-day delivery, the Transformation Office is also focused on evolving how our change standards, practices, and governance, as well as increasing enterprise agility. The intent is to do so with a bias toward driving consistency and applying an enterprise lens to prioritization and governance. The Enterprise Journeys support change execution through multi-functional, global initiatives driving towards a future state vision.

Role Summary

Conducts highly complex analyses and reporting in support of general business operations, special projects/initiatives, and/or strategic/operational planning activities. Serves as an internal consultant on business unit or firm initiatives of strategic importance, or large/complex functions or business units. Will enlist support from and lead junior staff or peers. Provides confident leadership and expert continuous improvement consulting over large/complex functions within a business unit and spanning across multiple business units. This Leader must evolve the field of Business Architecture and perpetuate the methodology’s value. Leads cross-program efforts to ensure consistent application and quality of the deliverables within their area of expertise and drives innovation and strategic solutions across global, mission-critical, large-scale programs.

Responsibilities

  • Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions). Impacts the business through contribution to strategic direction, data-driven decision-making, and enablement of a disciplined approach to continuous improvement.
  • Develops consultative partnerships with internal teams and leaders to understand their vision, strategy, strategic objectives, and key performance indicators. Responsible for analyzing and defining business issues, opportunities, and enhancements and implementing business solutions. Effectively communicates the underlying meaning of the analyses, which ultimately translate to actionable intelligence to senior leaders. Creates and delivers executive-level, professional presentations.
  • Defines, develops, and implements specialized technical solutions to unprecedented and complex issues. Determines where measurement gaps exist and implements or trains business resources to manage measurement plans and designate ownership to fill those gaps. Gathers, organizes, and reviews operational data/metrics, analyzes and synthesizes the data, then compiles it into dashboards, reports, or presentations. Navigates the entire firm, especially operational and control groups, in order to effectively complete tasks. Serves as a coach/mentor/trainer to more junior staff on complex or unprecedented issues. Considered an expert practitioner for any training or project needs throughout the firm.
  • Typically leads special projects/initiatives/trainings that are of strategic importance for the function or business unit. Serves as the continuous improvement expert across all phases of the development and implementation process, providing in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretative thinking to define problems and develop and implement innovative solutions. Serves as an organizational resource to build continuous improvement capabilities across the business by coaching and consulting with the business.
  • Designs, tests, documents, plans, and implements strategic solutions. Leads integration of solutions and partners with multiple senior management teams to meet goals and implement processes. Keeps abreast of new developments and practices in continuous improvement, adopting and leveraging as appropriate.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 10+ years of total relevant work experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification
  • Project Management and Change Management Certification
  • Advanced Agile Certification

Preferred:

  • 5+ years’ experience leading Business Architecture and highly influential throughout design and implementation
  • Consulting experience  
  • Robotics Process Automation (RPA)/Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation experience

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for full time remote work. Preference for candidate to work at our MD, NYC, DC, or CO office 4 days on-site/week and 1 day work from home/week.

Base Salary Ranges

$140,000.00 - $239,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$154,000.00 - $264,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$175,000.00 - $299,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
