Boeing Canada Operations LTD. is looking for a Director - BCA Fabrication Boeing Canada Winnipeg Operations. This position reports to the General Manager and is located at the Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada site.

Boeing Canada Winnipeg (BCW) is approximately 1,500 employees who are responsible for fabrication and assembly of complex secondary structure composite components for all Boeing commercial airplane models.  Products include wing to body fairings, propulsion products, ducts and various door assemblies. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads team across three shifts and is responsible for all manufacturing activity across multiple manufacturing disciplines.

  • Integrates with engineering, quality, and supply chain to safely, compliantly and predictably fulfill requirements to Airplane Programs.

  • Builds an environment of inclusion, transparency and trust.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Leads site through rate increases and assists in introduction of new products and technologies.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees, managers and mid-level and senior managers.

  • Manages a manufacturing and operations location in Winnipeg totaling more than 700,000 Sq. feet, operating seven days a week.

  • Oversees, partners, and plans site daily production rates with cross-functional site and BCA program teams using program master schedules and daily sale and delivery requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):  

  • Minimum 5+ years of senior leader or senior manager experience.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience using critical business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions.

  • Experience leading and develop and team execution on safety, compliance, quality, delivery & cost commitments utilizing the Boeing Production System

  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods

  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

  • Experience as a senior manager in factory operations setting

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Demonstrated passion for safety, compliance and quality.

  • Experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers

  • Strong operations and project management experience to support a wide range of business objectives

  • Experience with lean tactics

  • Experience managing mid-level and senior managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines

  • Experience developing and motivating employees, mid-level and senior level managers

  • Global (multi-national) company experience

  • One Boeing & Global Industrial Champion mindset

  • Knowledge of Fabrication, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Operations
