Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Digital Growth Manager looking to propel their career by joining a young and talented team of digital marketing professionals. The role sits within our APJ Digital Marketing Operations Center of Excellence (COE), reporting to our Head of Digital Marketing Operations and matrix-reporting to APJ Marketing Director, Biosciences Division.
This is an exciting and challenging role with the opportunity to create an impact on the growth of a global brand in the Asia Pacific except China (APJ) region. You will be a valued digital marketing partner for our Biosciences Division and responsible in digital channels strategy and tracking performance. You will be eager to learn each geographies’ go-to-market strategy & partner with market development managers to advise them and help implement multi-channel campaigns across search engine, email, social media, third-party & programmatic display by collaborating with other members in the COE and global teammates.
In addition, you will be demonstrating thought leadership in the region to increase Thermo Fisher’s visibility in emerging search environments powered by AI and conversational interfaces by partnering with Global and local teams. This role blends deep technical SEO expertise with strategic foresight to optimize regional and local content for answer engines and generative search platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Digital Marketing Strategy Development and Review, KPI settings
- Be a close partner of Biosciences Division to plan marketing campaigns and provide advice on how we can leverage all digital marketing channels to create successful marketing campaigns with clear objectives and KPIs
- Define key success factors and performance metrics for all digital marketing activities to analyze results in the context of driving overall business KPIs and lead discussions in regular business reviews and reporting.
- Champion industry’s best practices in paid search, emails, social media, third-party and programmatic channels and influence stakeholders of emerging trends to run pilots to drive further growth in funnel and revenue.
- Adapt quickly to changes and take proactive action in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment
- Ensure appropriate allocation of resources, to yield the most optimal Return on Ad Spends (ROAS) to drive cost efficiency and effectiveness of marketing campaigns, tools/channels.
SEO/AEO/GEO pillar lead
- Lead the development and execution of advanced SEO strategies focused on optimizing answer engines (AEO) and generative search experiences (GEO), including Google’s AI Overview and other emerging Q&A platforms such as Reddit and Quora.
- Identify gaps in content coverage and user journeys that hinder visibility in answer engines, and lead pilot initiatives to create high-value, intent-driven content experiences.
- Work with global teams and Web Operations team to co-create and refine regional structured content experiences that align with user intent and are designed to surface in featured snippets, AI-generated summaries, and conversational search results.
- Educate internal stakeholders on evolving search behaviors and the impact of generative AI on discoverability, helping teams adapt strategies accordingly.
- Stay ahead of search engine innovations, including SGE (Search Generative Experience), voice search, and multimodal AI, to ensure Thermo Fisher web properties remain competitive and discoverable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
- At least 12 years of digital marketing experience with at least 3 years in search engine optimization or digital content strategy.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, influence and stakeholder engagement skills, preferably across multiple cultures and languages, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights to formulate marketing plans and make business decisions.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and the evolving role of AI in search. Able to translate complex SEO/AEO/GEO concepts into digestible information for stakeholders’ comprehension and buy-in.
- Thought leadership in SEO trends, with a proactive approach to test and adopt new optimization techniques.
- Prior experience in scientific industry and familiarity with target customer groups a plus.
