About your role

 The Digital Data Change Engagement - Manager will have main responsibility for overseeing all types of data changes that take place on global digital platforms, including business initiatives, fund corporate actions, operational and technical improvements, data risk remediation as well as routine BAU support required to ensure the highest accuracy and quality of digital fund data use cases. You’ll be also leading the business data solution design that aligns firm roadmap and strategy. You will work closely with internal stakeholders e.g. business, compliance, delivery teams and other operational teams, esp. colleagues from digital marketing to ensure Fidelity’s digital data standard meets and exceed expectations, as well as supporting external communications with 3rd parties who are engaged as data service partners.

What you will do

  • Take responsibility for digital fund data requirement creation and refinement as joint product ownership with Digital Marketing in delivering risk reduction, efficiency and an enhanced client experience for data publication of FIL digital platforms
  • Responsible for streamlined business data solutions and process including auto and manual fund data provisions in various business scenarios like fund launch/closure, corp. actions etc.
  • Proactively identify, drive the implementations to address immediate gaps and risks, and timely close out ongoing Compliance monitoring review points and audit findings
  • Look after full digital fund data lifecycle: work with data owners, stewards and custodians on definition, provision & distribution and make sure the onboarding and good use of Collibra as FIL metadata repository tool; work with Data Governance on quality rule definition and implementation for digital CDEs
  • Build and maintain digital data quality scorecard and identify data quality risk; lead multi-dimensional data quality analysis solution and continuous improvement based on digital data consumption requirements
  • Make sure full documentation in place to outline data sources, data lineage, data ownership, data mappings, rules, presentation logic etc.
  • Handle escalations effectively and understand data challenges clearly and communicate the data challenges with relevant stakeholders
  • Plan and prioritise the technology demands to support the Digital Fund Data Governance & Management capability
  • Leveraging experience and existing domain knowledge to build and train business SMEs
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, other workstream teams and technology to provide consultation on design and analysis for new initiatives and projects
  • Perform quality assurance on existing digital data solutions and will focus on continuous improvement to deliver high impact programs in line with global data programme and strategy
  • Respond to distribution / client related requests such as ad hoc data provision support to ensure cross channel consistency, liaising with Product, Legal and business where detailed practioner insight is required
  • Provide support to team members when dealing with escalated and complex queries, discussing requirements with clients and third parties, negotiating delivery timelines etc.
  • Responsible for the definition/governance of data requirements, epics and stories within the product backlog and providing analysis support throughout the SDLC. 
  • Should be able to participate in development of strategic roadmaps, tactical plans and helps monitor adherence to overall target direction
  • Excellent communication skills to influence technology and business stakeholders, attaining alignment and sign off on the requirements.

About you

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in business data analysis within mutual fund business
  • Good knowledge of UX/UI, digital content management system
  • Familiarity with digital design tools such as Sketch etc.
  • Brings strong experiences in business data analysis within financial services/asset management industry with good knowledge on distribution business.
  • An ability to analyse and understand complex requirements and work with key stakeholders to determine impacts to current and future processes
  • Data Analysis and producing data mappings between various data and digital platforms
  • Ability to progress the analysis and drive decisions to close open issue through discussions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Must be strong in translating business requirements to technical resources (internal and external) in supporting the project
  • An ability to work at differing levels of detail, both big picture concepts and complex detailed issues
  • Experience of effectively leading teams through operational and technology change initiatives whilst maintaining operational service standards
  • Calm and confident when dealing with complex operational issues ensuring satisfactory resolution of issues
  • An effective approach to risk management with a focus on developing control frameworks
  • Excellent relationship and trust building skills with key stakeholders and business partners
  • Takes on a collaborative approach, with experience working across functions including technology, data, and operations.

  • Ideal candidates should possess strong analytical skills as well as knowledge & competences within financial markets regulation to ensure adequate analysis and solution design.
  • Fluent English language skill. Any other language would be beneficial.
  • Analysing the impact of upstream changes, in terms of data and communicating downstream impact as well.
  • Experience in dealing with RDBMS and good familiarity in data warehousing concepts like Snowflake
  • Proficient in SQL query writing skills and be able to do in-depth data analysis.
  • Writing API contracts in Swagger
  • Good degree of understanding in Power BI, Power Query (Visualization, data modelling and data transformation) and Power Automate.
  • Work closely in alignment with existing Data frameworks and quality control teams to ensure data governance
  • Analysing the impact of upstream changes, in terms of data and communicating downstream impact as well.
  • Writing API contracts in Swagger.
  • Fair idea of Agile methodology, familiar with Stories – requirements artefact used in Agile
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication, documentation, facilitation & presentation skills
  • Ideally have experience of e-Business, e-Commerce & Internet technologies, best practices & industry standards
  • Ideally have experience of working with business modelling tools e.g. LeanIX, Xmind, UML etc.
  • Understand CRM systems like Salesforce, Marketing automation tool like Marketo.
  • Experience working in data platforms and decommissioning & replacing legacy systems with strategic systems.
  • Are skilled in the use of business analysis tools like Excel, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Deep understanding of data governance concepts, various data roles and their responsibilities, tools like Collibra, IDQ etc.
  • Understand the values out of workday using AI and have good excise with good prompt engineering ability
  • Acting as Data owners, understanding end to end journey from business as well as data perspective.
  • Essential knowledge of data lifecycle that drives Middle and Back Office capabilities such as trade execution, matching, confirmation, trade settlement, record keeping, accounting, fund & cash positions, custody, collaterals/margin movements, corporate actions, derivations and calculations such as holiday handling, portfolio turnover rates, funds of funds look through.
    • Asset-specific data: This includes data related to financial instruments reference data like asset specifications, maintenance records, usage history, and depreciation schedules.
    • Market data: This includes data like security prices, exchange rates, index constituents and licensing restrictions on them.
    • ABOR & IBOR data: This includes calculation engines covering input data sets, calculations and treatment of various instruments for ABOR and IBOR data leveraging platforms such as Simcorp, Neoxam, Invest1, Charles River, Aladdin etc. Knowledge of TPAs, how data can be structured in a unified way from heterogenous structures.
  • In depth expertise in data and calculations across the investment industry covering the below.
