Title:

DG BOSS: Stand-by (Installed) and Portable Generator Operator (FN)

Assists the project team by input to identify key success factors, timing of design and procurement deliverables, and establishing common work breakdown structures.
Provides leadership to cause the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of Power Generation services, quality, subcontractor performance, and construction cost.
Evaluates Power Generation service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on to go scope.
Monitors the implementation of safety orientations safety indoctrinations and gang box meetings and provides coaching for improvement.
Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budget for installation process and develops a staff facilities equipment and tool requirement plan.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Must demonstrate the basic skills in all assignments associated with the operation and maintenance of the power generation plants and power plant control systems including the following as a minimum:
- Starting and securing engines.
- Paralleling AC generators, transferring, adding or shedding loads.
- Making necessary adjustments to maintain voltage and frequency within specified ranges.
- Taking the necessary casualty control and corrective measures for all emergency power generation situations.
- Exhibiting advanced knowledge and skills in Lube Oil and Jacket Water programs.
- Exhibiting advanced knowledge and skills in computer operation and utilization.
Must be able to read, interpret blueprints and design and follow engineering drawings, specifications and instructions.
Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment.
Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
Must have a valid Non-Pro or Professional Driver’s License with at least Restriction Code 2.
Must have flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including on-call shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Must have at least a High school Diploma, Technical or Vocational school graduate is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least 3 years of documented work experience in all assignments associated with the operation and maintenance of various small diesel engines and generation units.
