As a DevOps (Network) Engineer focused on DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management), you’ll help build and secure ING’s global network infrastructure. The team
You’ll join an international squad based in the Netherlands, working on the target infrastructure for DNS (internal and external), DHCP, and IP address management across global datacenters. Our services span both on-premise and cloud solutions, with a strong emphasis on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The team is agile, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions. Together with the Product Owner, you’ll work from a shared backlog focused on DDI and anti-DDoS services. Communication is supported by video and collaboration tools.
Your primary focus is maintaining the DDI services, secondary on the development of self service capabilities for our internal consumers. You are primarily end-to-end responsible for our Infoblox DDI assets, handling operational requests (internal consumers) and innovation. This includes monitoring, risk, incident and change management of our appliances and services.
Roles and responsibilities
Operational management of DNS infra (e.g. support migrations, LCM, incident handling)
Improvement of monitoring and alerting of our services
Consultancy for internet network implementations and domain management
Keep squad members up-to-date on local developments, improvements, and alerts
Participate in incidents, changes, and improvements for the Global Datacenters
Occasional standby / on-call duty is part of your responsibilities

Skills
Experience with maintaining Infoblox infrastructure & solutions (e.g. design, LCM, operations)
Experience with Anti-DDoS implementations is an added value (team purpose)
Experienced IP engineer with an angle into network security
Experience in programming in Python and working with configuration tools as Ansible or Terraform is an added value
The technology of interfacing squads and consumers to achieve an end-to-end view
Impact of different factors on the performance and capacity of services different elements on the performance and capacity of services
Working-level knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices
Understanding of the Scrum methodology (e.g., backlog and spring planning, review and marketplace)• Knowledge of DevOps way of working (e.g., continuous delivery, cross-functional team set-ups, development of cross-skilled squad members)

Your education and background
Professional and intellectual IT ability at least a bachelor’s degree
Certifications or proven proficiency in Networking and Security
Certifications or proven proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages
Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Stand-by shifts
Business critical systems, such as client processes, payment processes, software applications and websites, require a 24/7 accessibility and availability of several (groups) of employees to act quickly during unforeseen circumstances, such as calamities or incidents. For these (groups) of employees ING have set up a Stand-by regulation. To compensate for the inconvenience of being available currently, a Stand-by compensation is awarded.
If you are designated by your lead for stand-by shifts to be available for incidents outside of your regular working hours, a Stand-by compensation is awarded.
