Summary:

  • Driving an integral role in the customer experience, the Automotive Detailer is trained to be responsible for cleaning and refurbishing new and used cars.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of vehicle exteriors and interiors using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.

  • Wash and wax vehicle exteriors to enhance shine and protect paint surfaces.

  • Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors, including carpets, floor mats, and upholstery.

  • Clean and polish vehicle windows, mirrors, and chrome surfaces.

  • Apply protective treatments to leather, vinyl, and other surfaces.

  • Conduct a comprehensive inspection of vehicles to ensure quality and cleanliness standards are met.

  • Remove trash and debris from vehicles and dispose of it properly.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and detailing supplies.

  • Keep detailed records of services performed on each vehicle.

  • Communicate with customers to understand specific cleaning requests and ensure satisfaction.

  • Report any damage or maintenance issues to management promptly.

  • Assist with the management of detailing supplies inventory and place orders as needed.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer service.

  • Stay updated on new car detailing techniques, products, and services.

  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.

  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Satisfactory work experience in an outdoor setting.

  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to operate car wash equipment and tools safely.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Essential Skills:

  • Auto Detailing, Dealership, Cleaning, Car Wash, Customer Service, Detail Oriented, Communication skills.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance.  Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Environment Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet (non-weather) and outdoor weather conditions. Duties are performed primarily in a designated detailing area of the dealership, but may extend to various areas throughout the facility, both indoors and outdoors.  Work includes frequent movement in and out of cars, contact with vehicle cleaning and painting products, and limited interaction with customers.
