What You Will Do
As a Desktop Support Lead, you will perform all core responsibilities of a Desktop Support Technician while taking on additional duties that support team operations and service excellence. This includes managing support queues, maintaining standard operating procedures, and assisting with training and onboarding. You will act as a senior technician and point of contact for day-to-day coordination, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a Desktop Support Technician, including:
    • Fulfilment of materials and equipment requests
    • Desk setups, relocations, and monitor deployments
    • Desk-side support and troubleshooting
    • IT equipment collection (terminations, upgrades, decommissions)
    • Inventory management and restocking
    • Vending machine maintenance and planogram changes
    • E-waste and donation logistics
    • Inbound hardware receiving and LATAM shipping coordination
    • Participation in inventory counts and audits
  • Manage daily support queues and prioritise tasks
  • Maintain and update SOPs to reflect current processes
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations and coordination with inventory teams
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned by regional leadership
  • Promote a professional, customer-focused approach in all interactions

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in desktop support, IT logistics, or operations
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High attention to detail and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with inventory management platforms or asset tracking systems
  • Familiarity with vending systems and related IT services
  • Previous experience supporting global logistics or regional coordination
