Desktop Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer (Level 1)

Industry:  

Software, Master Data Management, Application Software, ERP, SaaS

Primary responsibilities include -

  • Building, setting up and configuring the Laptop/OS/Software systems required by both new and existing employees as required.
  • Creating and deploying Laptop and Desktop Images, perform end user patch, Backup and restore
  • Manage IT Software and systems like Windows/MAC OS, MS Office 365, Active Directory User Management, Printer and Peripherals,
  • Install and configure security VPN, Anti-Virus, Encryption etc.
  • Monitoring IT infrastructure components like AV/VC equipment’s, Networking devices, WiFi gears
  • Manage and follow the ticketing process and reporting.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering (or an equivalent major)
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience with progressively responsible experience in IT operations/IT support
  • Willing to work on 24x7 environment with shift roaster.

Technical skills: 

  • Should have good working experience on installation, troubleshooting, administrating end-user laptops for Windows / MAC / Linux OS.
  • Should have worked in networking and security systems like LAN Switches, TCP/IP Configurations, WiFi network, VPN configuration
  • Should have good understanding and working with Windows Active Directory, Office 365
  • Good knowledge of hardware components like Motherboard, Processors, Memory, Graphics Card, Sound Cards, Storage, etc.
  • Working experience in administrating Backups, Patching and troubleshooting with users remotely.
  • Experience in monitoring and auditing systems
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls)
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WSUS
  • Should have worked on ticketing tool to log, manage and track tickets like Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow, Team Foundation Server etc.
  • Cloud knowledge will be added advantage

    • This is a hybrid position that requires 2 days per week in office at our Bangalore location.
