[What the role is]

The Supervisory Methodologies, Tools and Analytics (SMTA) division within the Inspection & Supervisory Methodologies Department (IMD) designs frameworks and methodologies for effective supervision of banks in Singapore. We work in close partnership with banking supervision colleagues

[What you will be working on]

The Data Management Team (DMT), in the SMTA division in IMD, is responsible for the data strategies and the supporting tech solutions to underpin better data-driven banking supervision.

You will contribute towards DMT’s key initiatives, such as:

  • Managing data catalogues and maintaining relevance of metadata.

  • Refining data collection/consumption by migrating data collection to more efficient channels.

  • Driving records management efforts.

  • Improving data quality by performing data cleaning and validation checks.

  • Generating ad-hoc reports on data trends and analysis.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.

[What we are looking for]

  • Understanding of business requirements to translate into business specifications, user stories and use cases.

  • Familiar with using data products, including Tableau suite of products.

  • Familiar in coding languages commonly used in data analytics, including Python.

  • Ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders.

  • Curiosity to get to the bottom of things.

  • Keen eye for detail and always looking for opportunities to make a difference.

  • Open to new ideas and possibilities.

  • Eager to challenge yourself and push boundaries.

  • Good understanding of banking and financial services industry would be an advantage but not a must.
