As a Delegated Underwriting Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring that all Delegated Authority arrangements at MS Amlin align with our comprehensive framework of policies, procedures, and processes. You'll be at the heart of driving efficiency, professionalism, and delivering a high-quality service, making a real difference in our operations and success.

What you will spend your time doing

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for new binding authorities, ensuring robust due diligence is in place.
  • Provide valuable support to underwriters, guiding them through the application process when needed.
  • Act as a key sponsor for new coverholder applications through Lloyd’s, and efficiently manage updates to existing applications.
  • Collaborate with teams across BDX, Claims, Complaints, Compliance, Credit Risk, and Wording to ensure smooth financial and processing management for all facilities.
  • Monitor and assess the ongoing performance of coverholders and binding authorities, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date coverholder information within our systems.
  • Contribute to systems testing, working closely with IT and project teams to optimize processes.
  • Proactively manage renewal reminders and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports for team and management meetings.
  • Address and escalate any issues or concerns to the Delegated Authority Manager promptly.
  • Document and resolve any subjectivities or issues that arise, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

What We Need From You

  • Experience in the London Delegated Authorities market.
  • Sound knowledge of underwriting practice
  • Good understanding of the regulatory binder control frameworks
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate in writing and verbally
  • High attention to detail with great pragmatism
