The salary for this role will be between $56,000 and $58,000 with the opportunity to earn an annual bonus through the School.

FLCCA is seeking a dedicated Dean of Students to champion academic accountability and student success in a virtual learning environment. This role focuses on investigating student issues, monitoring truancy, managing discipline, and ensuring compliance with academic standards. The Dean of Academics will collaborate closely with the administrative team to address challenges, implement solutions, and maintain a positive and productive learning experience for all students.


This position does not include direct people management responsibilities but requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills to support teachers and staff in maintaining academic integrity and student engagement.

Essential Functions


• Monitor and enforce academic accountability policies, including attendance, truancy, and discipline.
• Investigate student-related issues and collaborate with staff and families to resolve concerns.
• Partner with school leadership to develop and implement strategies for improving student performance and engagement.
• Analyze academic data to identify trends and recommend interventions.
• Serve as a liaison between teachers, families, and administration to ensure compliance with state and school standards.
• Support the creation and implementation of academic improvement plans.
• Participate in virtual meetings and professional development sessions as needed.


This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Florida teaching certificate (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a virtual or blended setting.
• Strong understanding of Florida state academic standards and accountability requirements.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SIS/LMS platforms.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.

Preferred Qualifications


• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Experience in student discipline, truancy intervention, or academic compliance.
• Familiarity with virtual school operations and digital learning tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Work Environment


• Fully remote position based in Florida.
• Requires reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace.
• Occasional travel for professional development or team collaboration may be required.
