Who we are looking for

Enterprise Data organization is recruiting a Data Governance Solution Lead to help drive solution requirements management for the Collibra Data Intelligence platform implementation program.  Data governance solution lead will collaborate with business unit data governance leads and technology team to elaborate functional requirements for the data governance platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elaborate data governance policy requirements into functional requirements to guide data governance platform implementation.
  • Researching data governance best practices and interview key stakeholders to elicit requirements for enterprise data catalog features, workflows and KPI metrics reporting. 
  • Ensure that requirements are clearly communicated to development teams by creating clear functional requirements documentation (e.g., system use cases or user stories).
  • Collaborate with business unit data governance teams and data governance platform IT teams to ensure mutual understanding of data governance platform requirements.
  • Present and demonstrate State Street’s Data Governance Platform capabilities
  • Providing training and support to users to enable effective adoption of new or updated features being implemented.
  • Assisting to investigate and resolve data governance platform functional issues reported by system users.
  • Become a product and platform SME on State Street’s Collibra Data Catalog platform.

What we value

  • Good working knowledge of Data Governance, Cataloging, Quality, and Lineage processes and tools desired.
  • Experience with defining and managing requirements for system implementation projects.
  • Excellent communication skills. Can summarize succinctly and can provide details when needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of an organization.  Capable of working in a high-performance global setting.
  • Strong individual contributor with high motivation, the ability to take direction as well as take initiative, set priorities, and perform tasks with minimal guidance and oversight.  Self-motivated and able to influence others.
  • Ability to develop recommendations, form judgments and make decisions based on existing available information.
  • Flexible and can adapt easily to changing/evolving role requirements
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology and tools (i.e. JIRA) a plus


Education

  • Batchelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $177,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
