Data Delivery Senior Associate:
Position Summary:
Population Health Data Delivery Senior Associates operate a proprietary ETL process developed by athenahealth. This role uses ETL tools to transform data from a wide variety of sources into a standardized destination format. Building a strong, consistent data set supports analysis and produces actionable insights for our clients. You are motivated by tackling large data sets and building processes and tools that will help the organization scale. You strive to conquer the complexity of data from payers, EMRs, and labs to truly impact healthcare.

You appreciate the software development process and the varying personalities in the cross-functional groups that we work with. You possess the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and demonstrate sound judgement when determining an issue’s urgency and whether to act independently or escalate.
Responsibilities:
Assist team in executing client implementation projects, adapting the planned scope, and enacting contingency solutions as needed to ensure seamless flow of data from source to the front-end application
Support implementations after go-live by adapting them per client request with an in-depth understanding of the ETL process and source data
Execute on enhancements to current implementation tools and processes - to help team improve scalability and performance; tooling requires experience with SQL and knowledge of PowerShell; Python familiarity is preferred for occasional situations
Support seamless flow of data from source to the front-end application
Using SQL, Power BI, Jira and Confluence, monitor and analyze data to explain performance variation and trends as client data is managed on an ongoing basis
Act as go-to resource for analysis and in-depth understanding of source data for internal stakeholders
Proactively research and suggest solutions for implementations and any data issues to make an impact on successful processing for client
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required
2+ years of professional experience with data integration and relational databases
Experience with Atlassian suite, Visual Studio Code, and Salesforce
SQL programming experience required, other data management languages including PowerShell and Python preferred
Familiarity with healthcare data including adjudicated payer claims and clinical data sources preferred
Experience in analyzing complex business problems and building solutions for those problems
Aptitude and patience for reengineering processes, tools, and roles to improve scalability, efficiency, and quality
Ability to influence others through enthusiasm, commitment, and vision rather than direct line authority
Expected Compensation
$67,000 - $113,000The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
