About The Role

As a Data Analyst, you will help positively drive the P&G Korea business using the application of data analytics, shopper insights, and in-depth market knowledge. You will be part of a team that confidently represents shoppers and market reality in the decision-making process of the company. Together, your team will tackle questions like: “Who are our target shoppers, what are their biggest needs, and how do we best reach them? How do we deliver an exciting in-store and online shopper experience that will delight them and increase our sales? What are the most impactful business drivers that would maximize our sales?” Overall, you will point the torch to where the growth opportunities exist for the business.

Responsibilities

Develop business cases and insights within Data & Analytics.  Build data & analytics solutions in Databricks, Power BI– craft technical solutions from approved architecture to acquire, process, store and provide insights based on the processed data.

  • Data Collection and Cleaning: Gather data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and completeness. This includes cleaning and preprocessing the data to remove inconsistencies and errors.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Automate/Create reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. This may involve using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to present data in a clear and actionable format.
  • Automation: Leverage technology for automated data fetching, processing, aggregation & syndication leading to real-time information flows and democratization of data access.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze datasets using statistical techniques and tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Framing the Right Question: Assess business challenges with objectivity and identify the most important questions to be answered to drive the right business action. Look beyond the obvious and understand the real business issue.
  • Influence Decision Makers: Influence decision makers and top management to act in a way that drives positive business change. You will take accountability for what you believe is right for shoppers and the business, even as a new hire.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis, and suggest improvements to data collection processes and analytical methodologies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

  • (Must) Data management and strong visualization skills/tools in one or more of the following: PowerBI, Databricks, SQL, KNIME, Tableau, MP/SPSS or similar.
  • Minimum 1 year of full-time work experience.
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in quantitative field (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics, Physics, Analytics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience using analytics techniques (AI/Machine Learning, Econometrics, Operations Research, Statistics, Root Cause Diagnostics) to tackle defined business problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage multifunctional teams and leadership teams
  • Self-motivated to work with diverse business scenarios, prioritizing multiple priorities, and have a business and consultancy mind-set, while technically (data) savvy, and passionate about discovering new/innovative ways of doing things.
