Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 in Malta NY is looking for a motivated and skilled engineer to be a part of the Customer Engineering Team.  The primary responsibility in this role is end to end customer management starting from the introduction of new products into Fab 8 through the duration of the product lifecycle.  

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the technical conduit from Customer Prototyping (NPI) to Product End of Life (EOL), ensuring crisp and clear engineering communication throughout the lifecycle.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the customer and Fab 8 teams (Production Control, Planning, Process Integration), aligning internal messaging and tracking On Time Delivery metrics.

  • Lead customer meetings, drive follow-ups on action items, and proactively resolve any issues that arise to maintain program momentum.

  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Field Application Engineers, and customers to achieve revenue goals and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Education – Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or a related discipline or equivalent military training or work experience.

  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing. 

  • Language Fluency – English – Written and Verbal 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  

  • Strong planning & organizational skills  ​

  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.

  • Experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.

Expected Salary Range

$54,200.00 - $110,300.00
