As a CPI Applications Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all system planning and development activities in alignment with enterprise and PLMI strategic goals. It involves leading teams in business analysis, system design, implementation, and application support, while coordinating closely with other PLMI departments, ITD, and user groups across the Cleveland Clinic Health System.  

 
You will play a key role in the success of new programs and strategic initiatives by ensuring effective information processing and utilization. It also serves as a consultant to Cleveland Clinic divisions, offering services such as business planning, requirements assessment, vendor selection, project planning, system analysis, development, testing, and support. 

 
A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am—5:00pm. This position will require some on site meetings in Northeast Ohio.

 
A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Oversee the development of information technology plans to support business plans of Cleveland Clinic divisions and departments. 

  • Develop and execute departmental plans that deliver solutions to address new or revised business processes and information flows. 

  • Direct the activities of personnel engaged in supplying analysis, design, and programming services to the Foundation. 

  • Evaluate the quality and timeliness of these services and initiates improvements. 

  • Develop positive customer relations with the client community and other health system departments. 

  • Demonstrate business information needs. 

  • Establish appropriate priorities, establish short-term and medium-term courses of action, and organize and schedules total activities so as to achieve desired objectives. 

 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of demonstrated experience in information system development and advanced management practices in a large data processing environment, with a minimum of 5 years of management experience 

  • Experience with implementing and supporting a major system in a clinical or system analyst capacity 

 
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations 

  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge of modern information systems and data communications technologies 

  • Experience in application of project management and system development methodologies 

  • Knowledge of business/scientific functions and related systems interfaces that can assist Cleveland Clinic management in the operation and administration of divisions 

  • Understand and deal analytically with both internal problems (e.g., scope, schedules, determination of benefits, deadlines) and the Cleveland Clinic opportunities that arise during the coordination of multi-disciplinary projects 

  • Management skills include strong written and verbal communication skills, negotiating skills, and organizational skills 

  • Demonstrate the ability to interrelate to all levels of the user community

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a computer. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing and the ability to verbally communicate with employees and users.

  • Physical demands include office work and the mobility sufficient to attend meetings in clinical departments throughout the Clinic. The position must be available after hours for support by pager and computer dial-in.
