About the role
As a Corps Operations/Event Ministry Assistant, this is your opportunity to ensure the smooth running of Kingston City Salvos operations, including administration, HR, and compliance.
Reporting to the Corps Officer-Team Leader, this permanent part-time role offers 18 hours, located in Dingley Village, VIC.
How you will make an impact
Support the Senior Pastor with HR duties such as recruitment, onboarding, rostering and providing pastoral and administrative care to staff and volunteers.
Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical requirements including WHS, Safeguarding, Fit2Work and WWCC standards.
Lead the planning and delivery of major church events and community programs, ensuring smooth operations and strong engagement.
Oversee bookings and maintenance of church facilities and vehicles, managing schedules and ensuring resources are ready for ministry and community use.
Coordinate key annual campaigns such as the Red Shield Appeal and Christmas collections, mobilising volunteers and strengthening community relationships as part of the Corps Leadership Team.
What you will bring
Demonstrated experience in operations, administration, HR, or facilities management (church/NFP experience desirable)
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask, exercise flexibility and be capable of learning on the job (there will be in-house training for the role)
Ability to work within and support the mission and values of The Salvation Army – Kingston City Salvos site
A current VIC drivers licence and employee Working with Children’s Check

Conditions
Compensation is in accordance with Clerks Private Sector Award Level 3
