As an Internal Communications Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting company-wide communication initiatives that inform, engage, and inspire employees. You’ll collaborate with experienced communicators, contribute to impactful projects, and help tell the stories that strengthen our culture and bring our purpose to life.

Key Accountabilities

  • Draft and edit internal content including news stories, employee spotlights, and intranet articles.

  • Maintain and update the company intranet and internal communication channels.

  • Support communication campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, and recognition programs.

  • Collaborate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative ideas for content and events.

  • Assist with planning and logistics for internal events and communications rollouts.

  • Conduct research and gather materials to support communication strategies and storytelling.

  • Organize and track internal communications projects, content calendars, and resources.

  • Learn and apply Associated Bank’s communication standards and best practices.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Current enrollment in a degree program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.

  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.

  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in writing, event coordination, or digital communications (coursework, student media, or internships).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital publishing tools.
