ISS STOXX is hiring! We are seeking a talented and motivated analytical Research Analyst to join our Corporate Governance Research team.
As part of the ISS STOXX Research team, you’ll deepen your analytical expertise in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include evaluating corporate governance and financial data, and producing proxy research reports for shareholder meetings of publicly listed companies across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) regions , based on the ISS STOXX voting guidelines.
Responsibilities
Analyzing corporate governance data, financial and extra-financial information to provide detailed reports on listed companies.
Providing vote recommendations for items proposed to the vote during shareholders' general meetings.
Contributing to the regular publication of research papers and to the development of ISS corporate governance policies.
Developing an expertise on the different MENA and SSA markets (28 in total) in corporate governance, investment, and shareholders' issues.
Engaging with stakeholders and answering internal/external questions related to proxy reports.
Desired qualifications
Fluent in Arabic (reading and writing)
Fluent in English - This role involves producing detailed reports in English, requiring strong writing and communication skills.
Relevant Masters' degree, e.g. law, economics, finance, business or political science
Some prior work experience within Capital markets, ideally within MENA or SSA markets
Good understanding of capital markets and corporate governance topics
Strong oral and written communication skills.
High level research and analytical skills.
Organized and structured mind, with excellent time management skills, and ability to deal with large quantities of work and strict deadlines particularly during the proxy season (from February to May).
Ability to work independently, take initiatives, and collaborate within a team.
Please note that this is a fixed term contract from 12th Jan 2026 - 10th July 2026. This role is hybrid and the successful candidate is expected to be in our Paris office 3 days per week.
