About the Role
The Corporate Communications Advisor acts as trusted, expert, and embedded communications specialist for faculties and offices, aligning stakeholders’ communications needs with broader University priorities.
The role supports internal and external communications, including media, The Lighthouse and social media, across faculties and offices.
Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and implement communications aligned with local objectives.
Create engaging content for internal and external audiences that reflects the University’s mission and strategy.
Design and execute strategic external communications campaigns in partnership with faculties and offices.
Work with the Media and External Communications team to secure media placements and Lighthouse content.
Partner with senior leaders to craft thought leadership communications on key societal and academic issues.
Monitor reputational risks and develop timely communication strategies to address emerging concerns.
Advise on communications best practices to ensure consistency and quality across platforms.
Ensure compliance with EEO and WHS regulations.
Perform other duties as required within the scope of the role.

Selection Criteria:
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely across platforms.
Proven experience in the creation of engaging external and internal communications content and products for a wide range of audiences, including strategic communications campaigns and content.
Demonstrated expertise in issues management and reputation risk communication, applying sound judgment and strategic thinking.
Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, internal and external stakeholders, and manage competing priorities to deliver high quality outputs.
Proficiency with communication tools, such as intranets, content management systems, digital publishing, media monitoring tools, and social media platforms.
Creative and strategic mindset, capable of developing innovative communications approaches.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively
