The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug (AOD) programs including withdrawal management, residential and non-residential rehabilitation, and harm reduction programs. Salvos services go beyond addressing the core issues and challenges associated with problematic substance abuse and provide participants a place of hope, compassion, and dignity to recover safely.
The Role
As a Cook at the Mount Isa Recovery Services Centre, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals for participants. You will ensure all food is prepared and served safely, efficiently, and in accordance with The Salvation Army’s values, ethos, and food safety standards.
About the Service
The Salvation Army’s Mt Isa Recovery Service is a 25-bed facility that supports individuals experiencing problematic alcohol and other drug (AOD) use through comprehensive treatment and case management. Alongside partnerships with external organisations offering diverse programs and activities, the service delivers a core program called Foundations.
