The Opportunity:  

 

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for a Cook 2 

Essential function of the job & Qualifications 

  • A Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. From a fluffy omelet at three in the morning to an elaborate banquet, our kitchens are always in overdrive, meeting the demands of all of the hotels Food and Beverage operations. 

  • The Cook prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner per guest orders from all outlets in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The Kitchen presents and endless amount of opportunities of learning and growth for line cook positions of all levels. 

  • Open schedule required, including weekends and holidays 

  • Constant standing and actively moving around throughout shift, and the ability to lift up to 70lbs. 

  • Adequate understanding of kitchen hygiene, rotating stock, and no food waste mentality is a must. 

  • Understanding cold room temperatures, cold room hierarchy knowledge is essential 

  • Food safety certification is preferred  

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cuisine! 

  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are required in this position. 

  • The line cook works together with other team members on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors is required. 

  • Excellent communication skills are essential. 

  • The cook position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean a deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, meat and cheese slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill including other not mentioned kitchen smalls required to full fill the days tasks 

  • Proficient knife skills are also required. 

  • Candidate would have a combination of a culinary degree and work experience or equivalent work experience in a full-service fine dining restaurant, if no culinary degree has been obtained. 

  • Previous luxury hospitality culinary experience preferred 

  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. 

  • Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America
