About the Role:
Our client, a long-established and respected aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, cost control, and compliance. This position plays a critical role in driving financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic business decisions within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger.
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
Partner with leadership to prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses that support strategic decision-making.
Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Coordinate and lead annual audits and tax filings with external auditors.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration.
Provide insightful financial reports and KPI dashboards to senior leadership.
Assist in ERP implementation and optimization for improved financial transparency and operational performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or controller capacity within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management principles.
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and partner cross-functionally.
