Job Description

U.S. Bank Global Fund Services (Fund Services) is seeking a motivated individual to join the Regulatory Support Services (RSS) Contracts team. The RSS Contracts team supports all business line contracting needs within Fund Services, including Fund Services’ global operations.  The primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating an array of servicing agreements for registered mutual funds, private funds, exchange-traded funds, closed end funds, business development companies, and custody clients

  • Managing processes connected to contracting in a timely manner, including but not limited to, obtaining signatures to finalize agreements, storing executed agreements on the contracts database, distributing executed agreements internally and externally, and handling the agreement termination workflow

  • Performing second level reviews for paralegals

  • Updating agreement templates (with corporate legal)

  • Participating in client calls/meetings

  • Working closely with internal groups such as corporate legal, onboarding, sales and relationship management teams

  • Assisting with implementation of new contracts management system

  • Assisting with compliance matters related to the rapidly changing regulatory environment in the US, Cayman and EU

  • Supporting selected firm-wide compliance initiatives and assisting as needed

  • Seeking improvement opportunities and efficiencies in team processes

  • Other duties as assigned

The candidate should be a self-motivated individual that enjoys contract work, non-structured and non-repetitive days and embraces change.  The candidate must be open to new challenges and desire professional growth given the rapidly changing regulatory environment facing Fund Services and its clients. Project Management skills would be an asset to this position as this is a fast-paced environment where the candidate must have the ability to prioritize various tasks/projects.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically three or more years of experience in regulatory compliance activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Undergraduate degree (in business related field preferred) and Juris Doctor degree

  • Prefer a minimum of one-year experience in the mutual fund, private fund or fund services industry, or one-year experience in drafting and negotiating contracts

  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving/analytical skills

  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, specifically including document preparation and review in Word or similar applications; strong knowledge of Outlook, Teams and Excel

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously and be detail-oriented

  • Ability to develop and maintain professional, strong, long-lasting internal relationships

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $75,820.00 - $89,200.00
