About This Role:

We are seeking a highly curious, creative, and action-oriented content writer to join our content team. As a content writer you will be tasked with writing for our buyer and vendor-facing brands (Capterra, Software Advice, GetApp, and Gartner Digital Markets). You will collaborate with category analysts, editors, SEO specialists, designers, and other members of the content team to generate innovative ideas and produce valuable, in-depth content pieces of approximately 1,500 words for SMBs based in the US. These pieces will be strategically promoted across various channels, including our blog, email campaigns, social media platforms to engage our audience throughout their product selection journey. 

What You Will Do:

  • Create long-form content of approximately 1,500 word articles (Top of the funnel - Top-rated, free, etc, middle of the funnel - How Tos, Explainers,etc), primarily focusing on topics related to SaaS based products based on their features, pricing, etc.

  • Ideate editorial pieces and content assets across the content funnel of content marketing for US based SMBs.

  • Partner with editorial, SEO and marketing to create compelling content for our audiences across our buyer and vendor-facing brands (Capterra, Software Advice, GetApp, and Gartner Digital Markets). 

  • Leverage GenAI tools to automate and develop highly efficient content processes in collaboration with SEO and editorial stakeholders.

  • Create and program social media campaigns on a weekly basis to increase outreach of articles and content assets.

  • Review quantitative/qualitative proprietary data dashboards and develop content angles and meaningful stories.

  • Participate in category editorial planning to ideate compelling content for organic traffic and other channels.

  • Hold stakeholder kick-off meetings or gather additional context on requests as needed.

  • Contribute to ad-hoc content projects based on project requirements.

  • Adjust writing tone, voice, and messaging for assigned brands - Capterra, Software Advice, and GetApp.  


 

What You Will Need:

  • A Bachelor's degree preferably with a focus on Journalism or English Literature being particularly advantageous.

  • 2-3 years of experience working with editorial blogs and content marketing assets

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, use of structured GenAI prompts, ability to track and report on content performance, superb writing skills 

  • Experience in drafting long-form content of approximately 1000-1500 words

  • Keen level of focus, attention to detail, and organization

  • Self-motivated with a strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to muti-task across stakeholder, adapt, and thrive in a fast-pace, deadline-driven environment
