Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector has an opening for a Consulting Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama.
The role involves maintaining engineering models, developing system architecture diagrams, and collaborating with Integrated Product Teams. Candidates should have experience with Cameo models or similar tools, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and possess an active Secret clearance. Ideal candidates are innovative, capable of multitasking, and possess strong systems engineering knowledge, adaptable to fast-paced environments and agile methodologies. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the planning team to create conceptual data models and data flows
Design, develop, and document systems that contain logical solutions using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility
Implement data strategies and developing physical data models
Coach team members on developing the requirements, architecture, design, and implementation in the model
Assist MT lead with task prioritization and task delegation to meet overall IPT goals and objectives

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 20 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 18 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 16 year of related professional/military experience.
Must have experience developing model-based systems engineering products in Came or similar tools
Must have experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering
Must have experience modeling software systems and software system of systems
Must have familiarity with network, commercial cloud, and platform infrastructures
Must have familiarity with containerized software architecture
Must have experience modeling in a software product line engineering (PLE) environment
Must have experience with Systems engineering tools (i.e. Cameo Suite) and Agile framework
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation), and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
  
Preferred Qualifications: 
Experience with Modeling and Simulation
Familiarity with MagicGrid Methodology
Familiarity with Digital Engineering processes and environments
Knowledge and experience with the definition of MOSA – Modular Open Systems Approach, and interfaces definition, development, and control
Experience in integrating complex system across multiple domains
Experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers
