What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s SPT QA/QC Team as a Consultant, IT Quality Assurance. You’ll be hands on with all aspects of the systems testing process and provide suggestions that will ensure client needs are met with the highest quality. As a Consultant, IT Quality Assurance you’ll be a team lead on CIBC’s Technology team, assigning and overseeing the execution of test cases and providing coaching to your team members. You’ll create test plans, develop strategies, and provide estimates that will help create the bank of the future.

To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time.  You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Testing Expertise- Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.

  • Team Management Skills- Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.

  • Project Coordination- Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and goals.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 5-10 years experience. In software development testing, automation, and software process improvement. 5+ years experience in hands on expertise in API Testing, Functional/Automation UI along with Performance testing. 2 years working within an Agile Scrum Team as well as a solid understanding of Quality Engineering processes. Solid expertise in CI/CD integration tools and experience in JIRA Test Automation frameworks(zephyr, xray).It's an asset to have experience with Parasoft tools, JIRA test management framework tools. Previous development experience would beneficial, as would Microsoft Azure  databricks &  OAuth/OIDC, Security token testing would be an added bonus.
