Job Title: Configuration Systems/QA Analyst

Summary:

As a Configuration Systems/QA Analyst, you will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and

maintaining discount card programs and benefits. You’ll ensure accuracy, operational efficiency, and quality across all programs builds and deployments. This role requires strong attention to detail, a focus teams and clients on continuous improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business and client needs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned:

 

Configuration Ownership & Program Build

-Build, configure, and maintain discount card programs, benefits, pricing rules, pharmacy networks, and formulary setup across environments.

-Ensure configuration accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business and client requirements from initial setup through deployment.

-Manage configuration changes, version control, documentation, and audit readiness across DEV, QA, and PROD environments.

 

Quality Standards & Testing

-Validate claims adjudication logic, drug pricing, formulary rules, and benefit structures to ensure accuracy and compliance.

-Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for adjudication systems and

configuration scenarios.

-Conduct end-to-end testing for system enhancements, new implementations, and regulatory or

business updates.

-Perform QA tasks including ticket review, refinement, acceptance criteria validation, testing, and defect identification.

-Identify opportunities to improve configuration quality, automate validation steps, and streamline processes and SOPs.

 

Issue Resolution & Analysis

-Identify, investigate, and triage technical issues within RxAFFECT, determine root cause, and drive timely resolution.

-Work closely with claims processors, clients, and IT teams to analyze and resolve adjudication,

pricing, and configuration issues.

-Monitor daily RxAFFECT operational processes (e.g., pricing, pharmacy, network loads) and

ensure timely remediation of exceptions.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

-Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to translate business requirements into

configuration and testing deliverables.

-Collaborate with Scrum teams to manage backlogs, refine tickets, and support roadmap and

release planning.

-Support client onboarding and implementation activities to ensure accurate and timely program

configuration for launch.

-Provide guidance and act as a configuration subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and

client-facing teams.

-Assist with UAT, stakeholder communication, and documentation to ensure alignment with

business goals and project timelines.

 

Compliance & Governance

-Maintain compliance with company policies, configuration standards, and documentation

requirements.

-Adhere to the Buzz Integration Code of Conduct, ensuring ethical, privacy, and regulatory

compliance.

 

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Healthcare, Pharmacy Benefit Management

(PBM), or a related field.

-4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Systems Analysis, or Configuration within a

healthcare or PBM environment.

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

-Self-starter with strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.

-Highly adaptable, with the ability to operate and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, evolving

technology environment.

Work Location:

This position can be remote for purposes of providing adequate support to internal clients; offshore teams, being available for interactions and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors; as well as for facilitation of quick and effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders.

 

Working Hours:

This exempt-level position requires one to work the hours needed to get the job done. Therefore, one must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends, or on holidays as required. This may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

 

Travel:

This position may require domestic travel and attendance at various local conferences and meetings.
