The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Engineering Integrated Product Team Led (IPT) Lead organization is searching for a candidate with a passion for Autonomous Systems to design, develop, and field, open, trusted, secure, certified, and operationally effective collaborative autonomous solutions.

The Configurable Digital Logic (CDL) IPT Lead is a key program role that is accountable for key decisions throughout the life cycle of the program which affects our competitive position and executability. The CDL IPT Lead operates through coordination across all other IPTs among disciplines in the key system concepts, capabilities and limitations, architecture, and development processes (Digital/MBE). The CDL IPT Lead drives a common vision to the teams to allow coordinated execution of the concept during pursuit and development phases. This will require that the CDL IPT Lead work across the RTX business to leverage company technology and resources needed by the program. The CDL IPT Lead supports program knowledge point planning through the development process, while also expanding the approaches to problem solving and designing optimal solutions. In addition, the CDL IPT Lead guides the overall system requirements and architecture design decisions, utilizing the design teams to inform decisions, and ensures design compliance and system performance.  

What You Will Do

  • Influence the design and architecture of the system, establish processes for execution, and provide CDL Engineering discipline representation to Raytheon program leadership, office the of chief engineer, and multiple IPTs
  • Communicate regularly with Raytheon leadership to provide program status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed, while influencing the sub-teams to ensure alignment and teamwork
  • Interact and coordinate with customer community stakeholders, including acquisition and technical groups to influence and guide the development of program mission requirements
  • Collaborate with partners from Engineering, Operations, Mission Assurance, and Global Supply Chain
  • Mentor and guide all team members and coordinate engagement of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) when appropriate
  • Apply extensive experience in task leadership and system level design, integration, and verification

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing and/or leading cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity
  • Experience leading and conducting trade studies, CDL development and design, CDL requirements development and management, and CDL integration and test
  • Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and/or Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop recommended courses of action to management
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • IPT Lead certification or experience
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Experience with leading development across multiple program or company sites
  • Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability as a team lead to drive design and development across multiple functional organizations
  • Excellent presentation and proposal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
