Position Overview:
This NC Programmer will be a part of the high-performing Advanced Composites Fabrication Center team in Berkeley, MO. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide numerical control, machining, and programming technical experience on various machine assets within the Fabrication center. Our team plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work. Our Production Engineering / NC Programming team is responsible for planning, developing and integrating new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, and software dedicated to Boeing Phantom Works.
Position Responsibilities
Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.
Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work.
Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
Works under general direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
3+ years or more of experience with Numerical Control Programming utilizing Unigraphics NX, Vericut / Vericut Composites, and/or CAPPS NC.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Relevant programming experience utilizing Unigraphics NX, Vericut / Vericut Composites, and/or CAPPS NC within a 5-axis machining environment.
Relevant experience with machine tooling, metrology, and Composite fabrication/producability.
