Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Management and Problem Solving:
• Ensure all activities align with relevant laws and regulations.
• Monitor and interpret changes in regulations, determining their impact on operations.
• Develop and implement import compliance policies and procedures.
• Quickly identify and resolve compliance issues, mitigating risks to the company.
• Adapt to changing regulations and business needs effectively.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Regulatory Expertise:
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulations and standards.
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance matters.
• Monitor and interpret changing regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.
• Collaborate with other agencies to effectively complete compliance solutions.

Data Management:
• Collect, analyze, and manage data.
• Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and documentation.
• Apply data management tools to track and report compliance metrics.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and present findings to senior management.

Independent Work:
• Operate autonomously, leading multiple tasks and projects.
• Prioritize and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless compliance integration.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Law, or a related field.
• 5 years of proven experience in compliance, with a focus on import compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of import regulations and compliance procedures.
• Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in trade compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance Specialist). Experience with trade compliance software and tools.
• 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Michigan is $75,800.00–$113,675.00.
