JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

Job Title:                 Quality Control Analyst I Department:            Internal Audit and Quality Control Reports To:             Quality Control Supervisor

FLSA Status:           Non-Exempt

 

Position Summary: The Quality Control Analyst I is responsible for overseeing review and resting of aspects of quality control within the servicing division. This includes oversight of the quality control reviews (performed by a third party) and the issuance of the quality control reports to line of business partners. The Quality Control Analyst I is also responsible for performing certain quality control reviews as well as periodic operational review of servicing departments as required.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

          Completes assigned quality control audit reviews timely per assignment and in line with SLA. Meets

or exceeds required SLA’s for management reporting of quality control audit findings.

          Monitors state and agency audit requirements and guidelines on a regular basis.

    Coordinates scheduled quality control reviews between servicing operations and third-party review firm based on the review schedule.

    Performs quality control reviews internally on an as needed basis and in accordance with the review schedule.

    Reports to those members of management who should be informed or who should take corrective action of the results of quality control review, operational reviews and the review opinions provided and the recommendations made.

    Evaluates any plans or actions taken to correct reported conditions for satisfactory disposition of review findings.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate's degree (A. A.) preferred.  Minimum two years' industry experience and/or training in residential mortgage servicing required. Quality control or internal audit experience preferred.

 

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Previous experience with SecondLook, LPS and LoanServ preferred.
