Compliance Manager

APAC - Australia - Sydney Full Time

Axiom, a global leader in alternative legal services, is working with a globally recognized life sciences company seeking a Compliance Manager to join their Melbourne team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to explore working with a leader in the pharmacutical and medical device space and establish a meaningful career in healthcare compliance. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and monitoring of a multi-faceted compliance and risk assessment program.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure risks and identified issues are handled timely and effectively.
  • Support various business functions in designing monitoring programs and compliance processes and procedures to lesson risk. 
  • Deliver healthcare compliance training across the organizaiton. 
  • Support on day to day management of compliance and governance committees.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant prior pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience or other experience in highly regulated industries, including extensive professional experience advising compliance issues compliance mandates.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree or other similar certification preferred. Legal qualifications and legal practicing certificate are not required but may be favourable.
  • Experience with conducting healthcare compliance monitoring, risk assessments and third-party due diligence.
  • In-depth understanding of business objectives and how those translate into healthcare compliance priorities to deliver advice and guidance to the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively in a global organization with multiple functions.
  • Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
  • Ability to work on-site in Melbourne 3 days per week.
