The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting and administering compensation programs that align with organizational goals and ensure internal equity and market competitiveness. This role involves conducting market pricing, managing salary structures, overseeing merit and incentive processes, and ensuring compliance with FLSA and other regulatory standards. The Compensation Analyst collaborates closely with company HR business partners, corporate Talent Acquisition, and the Compensation Manager to analyze compensation data, and support system administration for the Workday Compensation module. Additionally, the role includes creating job profiles, supporting compensation planning cycles, and delivering training related to compensation policies and practices. This role also requires demonstrated experience in applying artificial intelligence tools to optimize compensation support and enhance operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market Pricing & Job Evaluation – Conduct Market pricing analyses to benchmark roles and ensure competitive compensation ranges
  • Evaluate Job descriptions for alignment with internal equity and market data,  supporting leveling and career pathing decisions
  • Compensation Administration & Support – Maintain and update compensation structures, merit grids, and promotion ranges in Workday
  • Support the maintenance of the Job Catalog including Job Profiles, Job Descriptions, and Job Families in Workday
  • Data Analysis & Reporting – Analyze trends in pay equity, performance ratings, and budget utilization to inform future planning recommendations.
  • Compensation Cycle Support – Assist in the execution of annual and off-cycle compensation reviews, ensuring timely and accurate processing of adjustments.
  • Partner with HR Partners to validate eligibility, confirm planner assignments, and troubleshoot issues during the annual review cycle.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Serve as a liaison between HR, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to ensure compensation recommendations align with budget, compensation philosophy, and strategic goals of each business.
  • Provide guidance on compensation-related inquiries including offer recommendations, promotions, and market adjustments

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent years of professional experience in compensation, HR, operations, or data analytics
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or SHRM-CP preferred and may be required for advancement
  • Workday Pro Compensation preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Workday Compensation Administration preferred
  • 3 -4  Years experience in Compensation, Human Resource Information System (HRIS), and/or Total Rewards administration

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience supporting matrix-structured organizations
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel functionality (e.g., pivot tables, heavy
  • Data analysis using formulas, filtering, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with AI-driven compensation tools, predictive analytics, or machine learning applications in HR systems
  • Familiarity with Human Resources concepts, practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency administering Compensation support
  • Excellent problem solving, independent decision making and analytical skills
  • Ability to appropriately manage multiple tasks and priorities while continuing to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and maintain positive working relationships with multiple levels in the organization and with outside vendors
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality relative to personal data, salary data, benefits data and other personal information maintained in the HR systems
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment while being proactive
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
