The Strategy & Reporting team aims to:

• Drive the Private Individuals strategic narrative
• Support key strategic initiatives
• Define, monitor and challenge progress on Objectives and Key Results
• Set the standard for self-service and steering reporting for local and global clients.

As our Communications Expert, you’ll be the driving force behind internal communication across the Private Individuals domain. You’ll help shape how we share updates, spark conversations, and build a stronger sense of community across teams.

Your role and responsibilities

As Communications Expert at the Strategy & Reporting Team you are mainly responsible for:   

• Crafting our communication approach
  Co-create and implement a smart, consistent internal communication strategy using a variety of tools (e.g. e-mail, intranet, internal social network, townhalls)
  Drive this approach both for the Private Individuals domain and Tribe Growth
• Bringing strategy to life through communication and engagement
  Translate our strategic goals into clear, compelling messages that foster understanding and employee engagement
  Use data insights, strategic priorities and outside-in perspective to enrich your storytelling. Raise awareness of delivered milestones within the local domain and in the wider global community of Private Individuals
• Being the go-to person for Private Individuals communication
  Act as the central contact for colleagues and teams across ING when it comes to Private Individuals communication
  Lead all communications tasks related to domain-wide initiatives
• Empowering others to communicate better
  Set the standard for communication across the PI community. Help others improve their messaging

What we are looking for:

• Masters degree (preferably in a relevant field, such as Communications, Marketing, Journalism; specialization in the financial sector is a plus)
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably at a large financial institution
• Strong skills in communication, content creation & storytelling: independently crafting compelling messages aligned with internal guidelines and diverse stakeholder perspectives
• Experience with designing, implementing and measuring the effect of internal communication strategies
• Extensive experience using internal communication tools, such as Sharepoint. Ability to leverage GenAI tools in the workflow is a plus
• Understanding of the financial sector and banking; experience with data analysis and strategy are all a plus
• Good work ethic, independence, accountability, integrity, discretion and ability to deal with sensitive topics
• Exceptional command of written and verbal English (knowledge of Dutch is advantageous)
