Job Description
OES Equipment, a part of the DPR Family of Companies, operates within the dynamic construction industry as a supply, fabrication, and rental equipment organization. We are currently seeking a Fabrication Quality and Process Engineer. This role involves executing process improvement, lean principles implementation and quality assurance in our fabrication operations. The successful candidate will coordinate with multiple locations and external vendors to ensure the quality of product delivered meets the specifications required by the customer, adheres to our warranty and insurance standards, as well as the operations best practices established by the business. They will ensure the excellence and reliability of products and processes of OES CFS at all locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control/assurance processes while evaluating existing manufacturing processes for areas of improvement.
- Develop a quality and process improvement plan to increase efficiency at all locations.
- Utilize methodologies such as Six Sigma to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence.
- Implement LEAN principles.
- Utilize A3 approach to determine current state and future state.
- Gather and analyze production data to monitor performance metrics. Scope may include time studies for various operations in the manufacturing process.
- Identify trends and root causes of production issues or defective products, implementing corrective actions, as necessary. Present findings from root cause analysis to the OES CFS team.
- Recommend process adjustments to enhance product quality.
- Identify the software and processes required to maintain product quality data and participate in technology roadmap discussions to identify and communicate requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for quality assurance purposes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain quality manuals.
- Perform audits on processes and products.
- Train staff in proper quality control procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality of raw materials.
- Report on quality data and process efficiency to demonstrate improvements.
- Work with testing and auditing vendors to ensure equipment is maintained at correct calibrations.
- Visit customers and job sites, understanding improvements in the product, methods, and packaging to support efficiency for our customers.
- Determine a process to provide certificates of conformance on all products shipped as part of OES CFS warranty process.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance or a related field plus 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent relevant work experience (at least 3 years of relevant work experience).
- Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and Lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of risk management principles.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience with quality control software.
- Proficient in personal computer and business solutions software.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems, financial tools, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite, and Autodesk products are beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- Some travel is expected; flexibility is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at times.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
