JOB PURPOSE
Set up and operate CNC Lathe equipment to ensure the manufacturing of high quality parts and tools without defects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Lathe equipment to perform machining to meet key performance indicators.
- Perform in-process inspection to produce product in compliance within production guidelines to ensure safety, quality, health and environmental procedures are followed.
- Level “A” Create CNC programs as required , document and report adjustments/corrections.
- Aid in the selection of tooling, jaw requirements and fixtures.
- Will be required to operate multiple production machines.
- Use of manufacturing reporting systems.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and process plans.
- Must be fluent in G & M code.
- Understanding of downstream processes for ease of manufacturing.
- Must demonstrate good eye-hand coordination and agility.
- Frequent Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, typing, eye/hand/foot coordination, carrying objects, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, handling
EDUCATION
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Associate Degree or Diploma from a Technical College or Trade School preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC Lathe experience.
- Experience with machining and cutting operations required.
- Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing preferred.
LICENCES & CERTIFICATES
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the USA.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Domestic and Global travel may be required.
