Job Summary
The Clinical Supervisor (CS) will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of Welcome Baby home visitation staff. The CS will oversee Parent Coach Team Supervisors, Hospital Liaisons and Registered Nurses (RNs) and ensure staff is properly trained, receive reflective supervision, and provide empathetic and client-centered services for clients. The Clinical Supervisor will work closely with the Project director and Data and Evaluation Manager to monitor progress in achieving program goals and objectives.

b. Minimum Experience Requirement :
Minimum of three years experience in the Maternal and Newborn Health Services field; Significant experience in working with mothers and newborn infants preferred. At least two years of experience in maternal and child home visitation. Bilingual/Bicultural in English/Spanish preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.

c. Minimum License Requirement :
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Developmental Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or able to complete licensure within 6 months of hire, with two years of experience providing reflective supervision. At least two years of experience in maternal and child home visitation and at least two years administrative experience as a supervisor. Certified Lactation Educator (CLE) or certified lactation counselor (CLC) at a minimum; or certification must be completed within six months of hire/transfer; alternately staff may be certified lactation consultant (CLC) or international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC/RLC). The UC San Diego's "Foundation of Lactation Education Counselor" course will fulfill the CLE and CLC requirements for employees hired prior to August 2025.
