Sentara Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic Pharmacy team.
This is a Full-time, remote position.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of current pharmacotherapeutic principles, medical terminology, disease state and population management, and age-appropriate therapy. This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use as part of our commitment to delivering exceptional care.
The Clinical Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams to support medication management, provide patient education, and contribute to clinical decision-making to improve patient outcomes. Experience with online pharmacy adjudication systems is required.
We welcome applications from newly graduated pharmacists and pharmacists not licensed in Virginia due to relocation . Candidates not currently licensed in Virginia must obtain Virginia licensure within 90 days of their Sentara start date.
Advanced certification in HIV, oncology, infectious disease, or ambulatory care is preferred.
BLD – Bachelor’s Level Degree in Pharmacy – Required
Pharmacist License (RPh) – State License – Other/National
Licensed Pharmacist – Virginia Board of Pharmacy (Required within 90 days of hire if not currently licensed in VA)
Advanced certification in HIV, Oncology, Infectious Disease, or Ambulatory Care – Preferred
Experience with online pharmacy adjudication systems – Required
Demonstrated understanding of pharmacotherapeutic principles and medical terminology
Experience managing medication therapy for diverse patient populations
Strong collaboration and communication skills within interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with clinical pharmacy practice
