$53.80 - $80.70Job Summary: The Adult Acute Care Pharmacist provides patient-centered care to patients for adult acute care patients. This position must: provide pharmaceutical care to patients to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes; promote cost-effective drug therapy; provide assistance in educating pharmacy students, PGY1 and PGY2 residents; participate in research projects to improve patient outcomes; participate on Medical Center and Department committees; adhere to the general hospital standards to promote cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building; assist with verification of medication orders and distribution of pharmaceutical products; coordinate and participate in the education of pharmacist and other health care professionals in regards to pharmacotherapy; initiate and/or participate in medication utilization evaluations; participate in the drug therapy management in emergency situations; assist in developing and implementing treatment protocols in order to improve patient care.
