Care to join the team?
We have an exciting, permanent- part-time Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) role. The primary purpose of the role is to facilitate clinical support and leadership in the delivery of cancer nursing education directly to the nursing workforce. Support, direction and oversight from the state- based Practice Development Nurse will provide structure for this role.
This is achieved through a national professional development framework that is progressive and responsive to advances in patient care and facilitates nurses to develop their skills to reflect patient needs. Through this supportive framework, the CNE will provide and deliver education and learning opportunities, to ensure consistent nursing practice across all sites and enable collaboration amongst nursing teams. In addition, this role involves evaluation of nursing interventions and implementation of strategies to maintain and drive innovation in clinical practice with support from the Practice Development Nurse.
The CNE, will act as an exemplary role model to others when providing clinical care to our patients. The role will have non-clinical (supernumerary) time to support competency assessments, onsite education through presentations or 1:1 clinical supervision as deemed necessary by the NUM or CL and will contribute as required with onsite clinical support.
