What a day of a Client Technology III Specialist looks like:
Installs, modifies, and troubleshoots of microcomputer hardware, servers, software applications, and peripheral equipment. Supports, troubleshoots and cable manages the network infra-structure from the workstation to the patch panel.
Monitors desktop client security including patch levels, campus-wide antivirus definitions, and network environment health utilizing desktop management tools, as well as network utilities.
Develops and administers computer images, Windows patch management, software packaging and deployment of software to all computers at a specific campus or location.
Manages security paging and speaker system, uses vendor-specific software tools to identify offline or broken devices, and programs replacement devices. Works with other technicians and network department to reset and set up security paging and speaker system.
Applies appropriate security measures for physical access to hardware devices, access to data and programs, and confidentiality of user passwords.
Analyzes technical problems with multimedia systems and equipment and performs minor repairs.
Operates and integrates specialized media, multimedia, computer hardware and network systems.
Actively participate in inventory control activities of the department by tracking software and hardware assets. Maintains a current inventory of supplies and equipment.
Interacts with vendors, contractors and other departments to convey technical project requirements, as well as monitor and evaluate services performed. Facilitates ordering and repair of security paging and speaker system with the vendors.
Functions in an on-call capacity for response to hardware, software and network systems repair needed during normal business hours or instances where the college is closed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Associate degree or two years of college coursework within specific subject area related to the position
Four years of related experience
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
Patching network cables and the set-up of data rooms
Skilled in:
System diagnostics, problem solving and troubleshooting
Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of changes and updates
Fact finding, analysis, and problem solving
Ability to:
Install and troubleshoot PC hardware and software, and MS Windows operating system
Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:

The minimum base pay for this position starts at $23.51 Hourly; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience.
