The team partners with financial advisors to bring institutional-quality investment opportunities to individual investors, delivering timely and differentiated solutions and insights designed to meet long-term portfolio objectives.

To further this mission, Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions established The Alts Institute—a global education and engagement platform designed to empower financial professionals with the knowledge, insights, and tools to better understand and position alternative investments within client portfolios. The Alts Institute delivers thought leadership, training, and community-building opportunities that deepen advisor expertise and strengthen client outcomes.

Brookfield Culture

Brookfield has a unique and dynamic culture.  We seek team members who have a long-term focus and whose values align with our attributes of a Brookfield leader: entrepreneurial, collaborative and disciplined.  Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses.

We are seeking a Client Portfolio Specialist to lead the international activation of The Alts Institute, a global education and practice management platform for financial professionals. This individual will oversee the strategic execution of programs that deepen advisor understanding of alternative investments, foster collaboration, and strengthen the firm’s global distribution strategy. Through The Alts Institute, the role will help advisors expand their expertise and integrate alternative solutions more effectively within client portfolios. Working closely with regional sales, marketing, and investment teams, the candidate will deliver high-impact experiences—both digitally and in person—across key international markets. Content will focus on advisor education, asset allocation, and practice management, fostering a global community of financial professionals dedicated to delivering better client outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned relationship strategist with a deep understanding of the global asset management and private wealth landscape, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, matrixed environment.

With a strong external presence and the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, compelling narratives, the successful candidate will serve as both a trusted partner to the sales organization and a visible representative of the firm in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the implementation of international client engagement and value-add strategy in alignment with global distribution priorities.

  • Partner with senior leadership across Distribution, Investments, and Marketing to identify engagement themes and market opportunities that advance business growth.

  • Develop a multi-year roadmap aligned with strategic business objectives and defined target audiences.

  • Customize programming for diverse global markets, accounting for regional regulatory frameworks, client sophistication, and language preferences.

Thought Leadership

  • Identify modular content track needs for varied audiences—ranging from foundational education to advanced strategy and best-practice deep dives.

  • Build relationships with industry associations, educational institutions, and platforms to broaden the firm’s influence in the global alternatives dialogue.

  • Serve as an exceptional public speaker, engaging both technical and non-technical audiences across multiple formats.

  • Act as a spokesperson and strategic representative of the firm at international conferences and industry forums.

  • Leverage storytelling, research, and market insights to drive advisor engagement and promote product adoption.

Sales Engagement

  • Partner with regional sales teams to identify key clients and creative engagement opportunities for The Alts Institute, collaborating on tailored outreach and follow-up initiatives that strengthen relationships, expand program reach, and reinforce the firm’s business objectives.

  • Collaborate effectively across internal functions and external partners, maintaining clear communication and proactive problem-solving.

  • Support sales teams by translating advocacy materials into practical tools (e.g., talking points, objection handling, comparative frameworks).

  • Engage confidently with senior clients, gatekeepers, and influencers across the global wealth channel.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define success metrics that capture both engagement (e.g., event participation, content reach, media exposure) and commercial impact (e.g., advisor activation, product flows, partnerships).

  • Establish feedback loops with sales, clients, and event partners to refine programming and demonstrate measurable impact to leadership.

The Candidate

  • 15+ years of relevant experience, ideally with international scope and a focus on sales, client engagement, education, or training initiatives.

  • Proven ability to execute and deliver multifaceted programs with exceptional attention to detail and operational discipline.

  • Outstanding storytelling, communication, and presentation skills; able to distill complex ideas into compelling, audience-appropriate narratives.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a track record of collaboration across internal sales organizations and external client networks.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage sales teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Expertise in international investment or asset management preferred.

  • Highly self-motivated and driven, with the ability to lead projects independently and deliver results with limited oversight.

  • Comfortable using data and qualitative feedback to inform strategic decisions, measure success, and optimize engagement.

  • Proactive self-starter with strong ownership and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, complex environment.

  • Highly collaborative, diplomatic, and adaptable across diverse markets and cultures.

  • Excellent relationship management and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe and Asia.

Location & Travel

  • Based in a key international market (e.g. London, Hong Kong, or Singapore).

  • Frequent international travel required to support engagement programs, regional teams, and client events.
