We are looking for ambitious and career oriented graduates with good analytical skills and conversant with accountancy concepts & numbers. Individuals having knowledge or hands on experience with Corporate actions SWIFTs will be an added advantage.

Work experience of 5-7 years in Capital markets industry.

Why this role is important to us

The Senior Team Member in Corporate Actions is responsible for ensuring accurate capture, processing, and settlement of corporate action events (mandatory and voluntary) across global markets. The role involves reviewing complex events, guiding junior team members, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and client service.

What you will be responsible for

  • Event Capture & Processing
    • Monitor and record all corporate action events (dividends, mergers, rights issues, tender offers, spin-offs, bonus, splits, etc.) from multiple sources (custodians, depositories, vendors).
    • Validate event details, terms, and deadlines to ensure accuracy.
    • Process entitlements, instructions, and reconciliations within defined cut-offs.
  • Client Servicing & Communication
    • Ensure timely and accurate communication of event details and deadlines to internal teams and clients.
    • Respond to client queries promptly and professionally.
    • Escalate discrepancies or complex issues to management with proposed resolutions.
  • Quality Control & Oversight
    • Review the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy.
    • Perform end-of-day checks and validations to minimize breaks/errors.
    • Support in resolving breaks with internal teams (settlements, reconciliations, etc.).
  • Risk & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to operational controls, regulatory guidelines, and internal policies.
    • Identify potential risks in processes and suggest improvements.
    • Support audit and compliance reviews with accurate documentation.
  • Team Support & Development
    • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for corporate action processes.
    • Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to junior members.
    • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in Corporate Actions, preferably in a global bank, custodian, or asset management firm.
  • Knowledge of market vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) preferred.
  • Exposure to corporate action systems will be an advantage.
