Qualifications: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC) 1 ONLY. AOC Definitions: Area 1: All current permanent federal technician employees of the South Carolina Air National Guard. (Note-Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and will not qualify for this AOC.) Area 2: All current military members of the South Carolina Air National Guard. Area 3: US Citizens eligible for immediate membership in the South Carolina Air National Guard. Min/Max Military Grades: SSgt/E5, TSgt/E-6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum: college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering. The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following: MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems. 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. *4.
