Role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise intends to appoint a Chief of Staff within Global Sales, Customers, Services, Integrators organization. The Chief of Staff is accountable for supporting the SVP and his leadership team to drive collaboration across the group and lead the overall growth plan, tracking, and execution. The Chief of Staff will also be accountable for business and operational reviews and lead executive customer engagement.

The role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Customers, Services, Integrators and will be required to represent the SVP in meetings from time to time.

The key responsibilities are detailed below:

  • Executive Review Readiness: Ensure that all parties involved are ready for various business review meetings (i.e. quarterly business reviews, state of readiness reviews, and other ad-hoc reviews) reviewing the appropriateness of the agenda, meeting objectives and outcomes are clearly understood. Pick up the follow-on actions that do not require the executive’s intervention, delegate where possible. Travel with the SVP as needed to facilitate business reviews/workshops.

  • Programmatic Oversight:  Run meetings (regular & ad-hoc) and provide programmatic support to key initiatives in partnership with stakeholders – determine & coordinate the cadence & agenda, align stakeholders for preparation, and take note of the actions from meetings and follow up to ensure progress is happening.  Support the SVP on transformation and other/ongoing change management initiatives.  Responsible for following through with projects where assigned and managing to closure.

  • Business Planning & Operations: Support the definition, planning & rollout of a scalable team strategy and operating model in partnership with the Customers, Services, Integrators leadership team to enable & support the broader Global Sales organizational objectives. Continue the optimization of our operating model. Act as a connection point with main stakeholders and ensure leadership team’s effectiveness in executing business plans with business outcome.

  • Executive Customer Engagement: To increase SVP external engagement and provide the necessary support to maximise the SVP’s time to engage with customers and partners. Direct engagement with customers and management of executive customer relationships, managing executive sponsorships, maintaining view of status and escalation resolution with internal teams, external executive communication, and preparing SVP involvement in external facing HPE -Hosted events, ie Discover.

  • Communications and Engagement: Work with Global communications on all up-communication plan to ensure consistency across the organization.

  • Maximize the organizational impact of time spent by the SVP and the leadership team

  • Weigh all activities against their business relevance

  • Prioritize agendas for critical topics

  • Maximize meeting effectives via structure, agenda and meeting preparations

Coordinate Between Customers, Services, Integrators leadership team and stakeholders

  • Act as the interface between the SVP and the team; serve as advisor/broker/mediator across the business to facilitate on behalf of the SVP

  • Act as valued counsel to the SVP and a trusted advisor to the team

Required Competencies

  • 8+ years of work experience, preferably with a combination of Sales or Chief of Staff Experience preferred

  • Organized, structured approach to execution

  • Analytical, be able to interpret key dashboards quickly and effectively, and create and manage regular and ad-hoc reports required by leadership team

  • Ability to act as a key influencer: nurture relationships, build rapport and establish trust across multiple stakeholders

  • Quick learner: the ability to quickly make sense of and organize ambiguous situations

  • Curiosity, a hunger to understand the various aspects of the business

Languages

Fluency in English is a key requirement.

Travel/Location

The role will be based in Houston or San Jose. Domestic and international travel will be expected.

USD Annual Salary: $119,500.00 - $275,000.00
