We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Commercial Officer with strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and a passion for driving revenue growth.
As the commercial leader, you’ll be responsible for shaping the terminal’s commercial strategy, strengthening customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring sustainable profitability.
Your leadership will position APM Terminals Quetzal (Guatemala) as a benchmark in the regional port and logistics industry. 🌎
⚙️ Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the commercial strategy aligned with global and regional objectives.
Drive revenue growth through business development, market expansion, and customer retention.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (shipping lines, BCOs, logistics providers).
Represent the terminal before port authorities, government entities, and industry associations.
Define value-based pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to adapt the commercial strategy.
Lead and develop the Commercial and Customer Service teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and regional teams to ensure value delivery to customers.
🎓 What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in international business, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
Postgraduate studies in Commercial Management or Marketing (preferred).
7+ years of experience, including at least 5 in commercial or business development roles within the port, logistics, or transportation sectors.
Proven track record in revenue generation, negotiation, and strategic partnerships.
Advanced English (mandatory).
Expertise in strategic planning, pricing, B2B marketing, and customer experience management.
Strong leadership, analytical mindset, and a LEAN / continuous improvement mentality.
Availability to perform duties from offices in Guatemala City and Puerto Quetzal.
